![]() ![]() I think the first trick is to synergize with your command and find clerics that can be sacrificed for gains the second is to find ways to drain their health quickly so you can focus on the first. I love cleric tribal, I realize this is a jank deck but with some focus it can also be effective. not an X spell, but cleric tribal nuke seems kinda on-theme. creature recusion that nukes for 6 with general out, or mass reanimation if opponen't don't take it. ghostly prison based on clerics for mana, but single target per use cleric tribal lord for black, comparible to doubtless one ![]() less useful in duels, but solid for mass card draw otherwise if you don't want people to target you, ivory mask with legs is a cleric too probably is on a wanted list in some libraries for back charges exiles instants & sorceries, solid card. this guy is bonkers, and with any form of damage prevention makes your side nigh unkillable mass graveyard remval + evasion is good not as useful once it gets vigilence, so fair warning.įlip - sac outlet that transforms into a mini- blood artist, is cleric. fiend hunter for artifacts & enchantments, not much else to say. the staple of death & taxes and hate bears is, in fact, a cleric. decent artifact / enchantment removal on a cleric body, not much else to say. great to chump with, better with aethreos, best when indistructable really should be vodka-aunt of runes, but w/e, still good clerics are indistructable as long as 3 swing? seems good not gamebreaker, but solid card with options cleric that can reanimate or force pitch from opponents. good protection for your side of the field. most clerics are humans, exile is good. not quite pro- red, but helps agaisnt spot removal for entire tribe. requires a few players to be super amazing, but still worthwhile even if all you get back is grants Monarch, and forces creature sac on play and when you regain it. sacs to revert life total to start of turn? yes please on par with blind zealot - lacks the evasion, but doesn't sac to activate. sacs to destroy target creature when it hits a player, good for general evasion that's hard to top - can't be blocked by creatures, can't be removed by creatures. nothing to special, but tribal themed, so I mention it here. and 2/3 deathtouch for 2 isn't bad either not all that useful until you gain some life, then amazing removal. good sac for anti-commander damage, fits cleric type, colorless to cast. good card draw engine in EDH - prevents players from drawing their deck in one go also This will require TappedOut.js included in your blog.- okay, not a cleric, but makes cleric tokens In TappedOut's comments/forums In TappedOut's comments/forums with pie-chart On your blog You can now import it in the MTG Arena client. MTG Arena Copy to clipboard 1 Akroma's Devoted (LGN) 2Ĭopied to clipboard. Any other criticisms or suggestions are welcome. If there are any clerics I've somehow missed that deserve an inclusion, or some White/Black effect that is an auto include in a Commander deck, or any other "generic tribal" cards like Shared Triumph please let me know. Pretty much all the other cards in the deck are negotiable (and maybe even some of the worse cleric tribal effects), but I'd like to keep the cleric count as high as possible to get the most out of the cleric tribal effects. ![]() This is mostly an aggro deck that utilizes all the good Cleric tribal effects alongside all the good Clerics, with some removal and other tricks thrown in for good measure. Since then, Wizards has given us some White/Black Cleric Commander options, so I've changed commanders to Partners Tymna the Weaver and Ravos, Soultender. I don't get a chance to play any kind of casual format except Commander these days, so I decided to convert the old thing into a new Commander variant with Ghost Council of Orzhova as my general. This deck revolves around cards such as Starlit Sanctum, Doubtless One, Vile Deacon for offense, and Whipgrass Entangler and Battlefield Medic to keep things locked down and held back. I had a cleric tribal deck back in the days of Onslaught Standard, and have been adding cards to it for several years. ![]()
